Kristi's pictures!!!

So we are starting to get a few pics from our one year session with Kristi. I will post more once I get the cd. As usual, Kristi did an amazing job!!

Caylee loved that cupcake so much! Word of warning... If you ever give a child hot pink frosting, don't make plans for the rest of the day because it will stain their face and hands pink :) The rest of the day, everyone asked why she was so red.
New game: Empty all the toys from the basket and play in the basket.

We brought down her Georgia rocking chair from her room. We thought she would like to have her special seat in our living room; she LOVES IT!

So while all our family in Georgia was getting snow; it was a beautiful spring like day in Colorado. We decided to make the most of the nice weather and clean our cars and the garage. Caylee was a big help cleaning the driveway :)

Ferber Shmerber

So, on our last trip out to Atlanta, Aunt Jess sent us home with a "miracle book" to help your child learn to self-soothe; allowing them to sleep through the night, on their own. This method is now referred to as the Ferber method, named from the author, Dr. Ferber. We tried this for 7 days, and these pics show how Caylee adjusted to sleeping on her own.
She was so tired she couldn't even get through a meal without falling asleep. Now, one would think that if she were this tired she would just sleep in her crib, but the second you put her in her crib it is a boost of adrenaline and she is up for hours!

Zoe is having trouble adjusting to the lack of sleep at night as well.

Fast forward seven days, and she is back to her playful, on the go self. She loves daddy's hat :)

My little runway model :) This is one of our favorite outfits that we get compliments on ALL the time. Thank you grandma Kay!

Caylee loves putting on my scarf and walking around the house :)

New Pictures of my big ol' 1 year old

So, I am sorry that it has been so long since I have posted any pictures. You all have my word that I will make it a point to post pictures on a more regular basis. So, I have posted as many pictures as my attention span will allow, as waiting for them to upload seems to take forever! :)

This has been my little project as of late. I guess I shouldn't say 'my' project since Kyle is the one that painted the wall.

Now, on to the pictures everyone wants to see... This is Caylee's new favorite past time. She walks around the house with our cell phones gabbing on and on, "da da da da da."

Caylee's birthday breakfast. First time eating french toast and a scrambled egg. She wasn't sure about the scrambled egg.

Ok, so don't judge... This is the first cake I have ever made. It may not look the best, but Caylee seemed to like it, so I consider it a success.

She wasn't sure what to do with the cake, so she started sucking on it.

Caylee's very first baby doll!

Caylee with grandma; opening her smart dog. It has a bone that it will follow around :)

After a very full afternoon, Grandpa and Caylee were very tired so they took a nap with all her new toys!

We had a wonderful 1st birthday! And I promise there are more pictures to come very soon!

And the award for world's worst mother goes to...

... ME! Well, for my acceptance speech I would like to thank my poor judgement and inability to watch my child and get anything done at the same time.
In all seriousness, I think Caylee and I learned a very important lesson last night... No matter how hard she tries, or how much she wants to, she can not fly. (Or land on her feet for that matter). Caylee took a flying leap off the chair and has a bit of a rug burn on her forehead. I know they say kids are resilient, but I really didn't think I would have to be worrying about head injuries at 7 months. For the record, I blame Kyle for this. God is just giving him a little daredevil child to show him what he put his parents through, and I am the Innocent bystander caught up in this! Thankfully, I think I cried more than she did and it doesn't seem to be bothering her one little bit. I really do feel awful though; so why not memorialize my neglectful actions on my blog...

Busy, busy, busy

So it has been a busy, busy week! It started with Caylee's very first wedding. She was such a good sport through the whole evening. Then, Caylee got to walk around downtown Denver with Grandma while we went to a concert. On Saturday, we went back down to Denver to go to the Art Museum.
Caylee in a fish hat at the museum... She wore it for all of two seconds. Just long enough to get a picture.

So Caylee always has her arms raised just like this statue. When we saw it we thought it would be great to get her to do the same thing, but of course she would not perform for a picture :)

After the museum we went to the Colorado National Speedway to watch some late model and stock car races. We were afraid the noise would bother her, but she was so tired it didn't seem to matter.

After such a busy week we had a lot of house work to catch up on and our little helper was quick to help with the dishes. Every time we would put something in the dishwasher she would take it out and put it on the floor.

So on the last blog I posted pictures of our new house that we were waiting to hear back from the bank on... Well, we got tired of waiting and fell into this one. We are set to close the end of Oct.

This is the living room. It is small, but I love the character!

This is the staircase... Did I mention how much Character this house has?!?

Me talking with the inspector in our new kitchen :)
My favorite part of the entire house!

Old pictures...

Ok, so these are old pictures, but after ten weeks, 4 motherboards, and a fan I finally got my laptop back this afternoon! Time to catch up :) So these pictures are of Kris' and Grandma K's trip to Colorado, Caylee's baptism, and our *cross your fingers* new house...

First time swimming! She doesn't look happy, but she really did have a good time :)

A picture with her sponsor's (all except her Aunt Jess who was home with her own little one)

4 generations... It was such a blessing that my grandmother was able to come out to see her very first great grand baby being baptized!

Here are a couple pictures of the house... It needs a little bit of work, but for the price it can't be beat!!
