Take me out to the ball game...

It looked like cousin Landon had so much fun at his first baseball game that we just had to do that too! Our friends Katie, Lindsey, and her 3 year old son Willie, met us at the Rockies game for an afternoon of fun.

We learned after the game that Caylee has some strong feelings towards Todd Helton...

After the game we all met Chris and Todd for a picnic in the Park. Unfortunately, while we were playing someone ran into Katie and Lindsey's rental car.

A warm day ended in a chilly night waiting for police reports, tow trucks, and a new rental car. Finally, after almost five hours our adventure ended with a tired and hungry baby, cold and tired parents and a dog that had a blast... Overall, it was a pretty great day :)

March for Babies

This past Saturday the 25th several of us participated in the March of Dimes, March for Babies walk in loving memory of my friend's first born, Lily Raine. We gathered a team of about 13 people who, I am proud to say, raised over $800 in two weeks for research in preventing infant fatalities from birth defects, prematurity, and stillbirth. Kyle and I bundled Caylee up and pulled out the stroller for the first time. We met my parents for the five mile walk through the city. The weather was chilly and sleeting rain; and with every step I had to thank God for my healthy baby girl sleeping soundly in her stroller. It was very moving to see so many people walking for their own personal reasons. I walked for the hope that no other mother will have to experience the loss of their precious child and to keep the memory of sweet little Lily alive. Hopefully, next year my dear friend will be able to bundle up her new little addition and join us in walking for Lily...

Swetsville Zoo

So today we decided to take advantage of the 80 degree weather and doing something fun. We went to the Swetsville Zoo, which is the most creative and unique sculpture garden I have seen. All the animals and people are made out of old car and tractor parts. Caylee didn't care about most of it, but she did enjoy the wind chimes and the part where you could bang on different size pipes and oil pans. Overall, not a bad little road side attraction... Much better than the worlds largest prairie dog farm...

Having a creative spark... Need help from you all!

So every once in a while I get this creative itch to try something artsy... It is about this time in the project that I remember why I don't 'do' the art thing (I'm not that good). Anyway, this time I am attempting to tackle a scrapbook for Caylee memorializing her baby years. This is where you all come in... If you all could just take a moment to write Caylee a little message/letter I have a spot in the back of the book for messages of love from her family. My hope is that for many years to come she can look at these messages and know how cherished and loved she is by us all. This message can be as little or as much as you would like, just something from the heart. I really appreciate anything you all would like to contribute, and I know Caylee will as well.
We are taking advantage of the wonderful weather and have a fun rest of the week ahead of us. I plan on taking many pictures so I can litter my new blog with my wonderful little family. Once again, I really appreciate anything you guys want to do!
Much love from the Colorado Jones'

A "Hello" from cyberspace...

So my darling husband has been bugging me to start a blog. I believe that my desire for living in a more simple time has prevented me from starting this sooner; but I guess at some point I need to suck it up and realize that I am living in a technological age and should embrace its' benefits.

With the closest family members being two hours away and the farthest being across the country, I am hoping this will be a great way of keeping all the ones we love involved and updated in our ever-changing lives. I must warn my Atlanta family that, while I am taking a million more pictures than I ever have before, I take about a fourth of what Jess does :)

Now, about the next little Gerber baby (I may be a little partial)... Caylee is doing so well and is growing far too fast! She is in the 98% for height, so there may be a future for me in coaching volleyball :) Here are some of the most recent pictures I have taken...
She has started holding and playing with her burp cloth.

Laying on the blanket her Great-Grandma made for her.

A very tired girl with her 1st little friend, Jason. He is my best friend, Abby's, second son born only three weeks after Caylee.

Thanks to her new medicine this is the face we get after she spits up EVERYWHERE!

Well, I am not really sure how to end my very first post on my new blog... Hope this reaches everyone happy and healthy... Over and out.
